Helping Children deal with Loss

This programme is designed to help adults who need to help children deal with death, divorce, pet loss, moving home and a myriad of other losses they may face in their young lives.

To watch a child grieve and not know what to do is a profoundly difficult experience for parents, teachers and caregivers. This 6 week workshop can either prepare you in advance for helping your children or rescue you from that feeling of helplessness if you are currently witnessing their pain.

Based on the GriefRecovery® principles this powerful and effective programme will give you the tools and the language to make a significant difference to how children not only deal with grief now but for the rest of their lives.

The course is 6 two hour sessions and involves about an hour a week to do the tasks set during the session. The maximum number of places is 8 so advance booking is essential.

The cost is £99 which includes a copy of the book “When Children Grieve” by John James and Russell Friedman.

Programmes are held regularly at Kempston Church End near Bedford, however if you are a teacher or care giver interested in running this course for staff/parents/clients then please call me to discuss.
